{"id":2836,"date":"2015-11-27T14:27:19","date_gmt":"2015-11-27T13:27:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bestfinance.ch\/?p=2836"},"modified":"2021-03-15T14:20:23","modified_gmt":"2021-03-15T13:20:23","slug":"am-i-entitled-to-a-premium-reduction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bestfinance.ch\/en\/individuelle-praemienverbilligung-in-den-kantonen-ipv\/","title":{"rendered":"Am I entitled to a premium reduction?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a rule, the entitlement to premium reduction is calculated automatically on a quarterly basis on the basis of the definitive tax data for the previous year.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In accordance with Art. 65 KVG, the cantons shall pay the insured person, <strong>who live in modest economic circumstances, premium reductions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In principle, the cantons are obliged to pay the individual premium reduction and the flat-rate amounts for health insurance for supplementary benefit recipients directly to the health insurers from 1 January 2014. The health insurers in turn will pay the reduction contributions to the entitled persons after determining their entitlement.
